RULES AND REGULATIONS.
1. GENERAL
(a) These rules apply to ALL STUDENTS at this School
It is, therefore, the responsibility of each student to abide by them
in order to achieve the aims and objectives of this School.
(b) It should be remembered that these rules are made to facilitate
good order, to promote spiritual, mental and physical development of the individual and to develop good citizenship.
(c) All students are expected to ensure that they contribute fully to the
life and spirit of the school, and that they live up to the standard
expected of them, through exercising SELF-DISCIPLINE AND
RESPECT TO OTHERS.
(d) Students are expected to participate fully in all experiences (activities) of the school curriculum with TOTAL INVOLVEMENT.
(e) Students are expected to look smart all times. They are responsible for maintaining a high standard of PERSONAL HYGIENE.
(f) Each student is expected to be POLITE, SELF-RELIANT, INDUSTRIOUS, THOUGHTFUL OF OTHERS AND LOYAL TO THE SCHOOL. All students should develop a spirit of SERVICE TO ALL MANKIND.
2. SCHOOL UNIFORM
(a) All students must wear school uniform AT ALL TIMES WHILE in school and when they are representing the school outside.
(b) No student is allowed to bring civilian clothes to school. Such clothing, if found, will be confiscated immediately.
(c) Shirt “tails” must be tucked in and all buttons fastened.
(d) NO ALTERATIONS to uniforms are allowed. Students are responsible for replacing lost buttons and doing minor repairs to their garments.
(e) Only games uniforms may be worn during games or P.E. lessons.
(f) The school authorities are the final judge of whether or not a student is properly dressed. The same applies to haircuts, nails, beards, or shoes.
3. LEAVE OUT
(a) Students are not allowed to leave the school compound without official permission signed by the T.O.D or PRINCIPAL or DEPUTY PRINCIPAL.
(b) Students wishing to stay away from school MUST get written permission from the Principal or in his absence, the Deputy. This must be after recommendation by the relevant teacher concerned.
(c) SNEAKING AND GENERAL TRUANCY are serious offences and will lead to expulsion.
(d) Permission to attend hospital will be recommended by the T.O.D, (Class teacher) and approved by the PRINCIPAL or DEPUTY PRINCIPAL.
4. PREPS
(a) Preps are compulsory for all students and must be attended to punctually.
(b) Silence must be observed during and after preps. Students should not leave their prep rooms without permission form the prefect or teacher on duty.
5. LANGUANGES
English and Kiswahili are the only languages allowed in the school. Other languages taught as subjects can also be used.
6. GAMES
All students must attend, punctually, and take part in games unless
excused on medial grounds or directed to some other authorized activity.
7. ASSEMBLIES AND REGISTRATION
(a) School assemblies must be attended by all students.
(b) Class registration is compulsory and any latecomers must inform their respective class teacher.
(c) Silence must be observed during all assemblies and students must identify themselves with the solemnity of parades for specific functions such as roll-calls or the flag raising/lowering ceremony.
8. STAFF-ROOM
The staff-room is out of bounds to all students at all times.
9. SMOKING & DRINKING
(a) Smoking is strictly prohibited by this school.
b) It is a serious offence for any student to take any alcoholic drink during term time or during holidays, in and outside the school compound.
10. SCHOOL PROPERTY
(a) Care and proper use of all school equipment and games kits is the responsibility of every student.
(b) Any student damaging school property will have to pay for the damage in addition to serious disciplinary measures.
(c) All property whether belonging to the school community or
personal must be respected and with the help and co-operation of every individual all property will be protected.
(d) Any student who engages in theft or handles property known to
have been stolen shall be expelled from the school immediately in disgrace.
(e) Any student failing to return school property when required will be
charged accordingly without notice.
11. THE COMPOUND
(a) Everyone has the duty of keeping the school clean.
(b) No waste paper or rubbish may be dropped in the school grounds or left in or around the classroom, laboratories or any other building.
12. PUNCTUALY
Students should report to school by
(a) Student must always be punctual at every school activity.
(b) Lateness is viewed as a serious offence and as a deliberate
defiance of school rules and regulations.
(c) Bells rung by staff or others in authority for assemblies, parade, or any other activity must be responded to immediately.
(d) To avoid falling into problems, students should learn the routine and report to respective places 5minutes in advance.
13. STUDIES
(a) Every student must attend classes, lessons, and preps.
(b) All places of study must remain quiet in order to provide an ideal studying atmosphere.
(c) Lesson absentees or those who fail to do their assignments shall face tern disciplinary measures.
14. VISITORS
(a) No visitors will be allowed during class hours or during scheduled school activities. Any visitor during these times should pass through the PRINCIPAL or the DEPUTY PRINCIPAL.
(b) Visitors during official hours will be either parents or guardians or relatives whose particulars are contained in school records. They must obtain a gate pass.
15. CLUBS AND SOCIETIES.
(a) These are an essential component of school curriculum.
Every student must register and participate fully with one club/society at least.
16. RESPECT TO EACH OTHER AND TO TEACHERS
(a) Fighting is STRICKTLY PROHIBITED. Students should regard each other as brothers in the wider family of
(b) Bullying and/or molesting of any kind will automatically lead to expulsion from school.
(c) Prefects must be accorded the necessary respect to enable them assist in the student administration. They should be regarded as the elder brothers in our family.
(d) Respect and obedience to teachers is MANDATORY. They are parents who are striving to bring you up to become responsible citizens of tomorrow. The same respect must be accorded to members of Non-teaching and other staff.
17. DINING HALL
(a) All students are required to observe principles of etiquette while in the Dining Hall.
(b) Proper queuing and ensuring that tables are kept clean after a meal should be each student’s target.
18. SCHOOL MOTTO: EFFORT UNENDING
This is your opportunity to lay a firm foundation for your own future.
In doing so, hard work, diligence and total commitment are called for.
